OUR STORY

A Centuries-Strong Tradition of Quality

Founded in 1810 in Northern Italy, Oleificio Zucchi was born from a family’s desire to create a pure, uncompromising oil. What started as a small family seed oil business has become one of the world’s top extra virgin olive oil producers, maintaining the same passion for the high-quality products we set out to create over two centuries ago.

  • 1810

     

    Zucchi Was Founded

    Oleificio Zucchi was founded in the area near Lodi in northern Italy as a family-owned and run business producing seed oils.

  • 1922

     

    Zucchi Relocated

    Zucchi’s operations relocated to the town of Cremona, famous for its violin craftsmanship and rich food traditions.

  • Late 1950s

     

    Zucchi Enters Food Market

    Zucchi products made their entry into the food market with both seed and olive oils becoming one of the leading producing companies in Italy.

  • 1990s

     

    Zucchi Production Grows

    Consistent growth made it necessary to move Zucchi production to our current 86,000-square-foot facility on the Cremona navigation canal.

  • 2000s

     

    6th Generation of Zucchi Family Joins

    Alessia and Giovanni Zucchi become the sixth generation to join the family business.

  • 2010s

     

    In-House Blendmasters Introduced

    The addition of a research and development lab with an in-house team of skilled Blendmasters allowed Zucchi to create, produce, and distribute unique extra virgin olive oils through the Art of Blending.

  • 2017

     

    Certification for Sustainable Sourcing

    Zucchi earned the first certification awarded for sustainable sourcing in extra virgin olive oils.

  • 2020

     

    North America Expansion

    Zucchi expands in North America, bringing bottles to more than 2,000 U.S. retail and online locations.
